This year we met at the prestigious headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects in
the heart of London.
We were delighted to welcome as our Guest of Honour, Douglas Brown (right), who as editor of Tape Recording Magazine was
responsible for launching the British Amateur Tape Recording Contest in 1957.

For the 50th year of the BARC, we were the guests of the RIBA in Portland Place, just a stone’s throw from the
home of the BBC at Broadcasting House.
