The Federation of British Tape Recordists
New Name for the FedWith the decline of tape as a recording medium the Federation has decided to adopt a new name with effect from the 2002 AGM. A short list was drawn up at the 2001 AGM in Wymondham, and after two ballots (the first was a dead heat) the membership of the Federation has voted in favour of: British Sound Recording Association (BSRA)Discussions are now underway to decide on a new or revised design for the Association's logo, possibly retaining the classic RCA-style ribbon microphone. For procedural reasons it was not possible to amend the Constitution at the AGM in April 2002. For this purpose an Extraordinary General Meeting was held during the Autumn Get-together on 16th November 2002, at which the new name was ratified.
